Mr. Michael Ayesu is an Economist. He received his formal education in Ghana and the United Kingdom. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences (Economics & Sociology) and a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast.
Mr. Ayesu also studied at the University of Glasgow, UK where he graduated with a Diploma and M.Phil in Monetary Economics. He undertook various courses and attended a range of seminars. These include Financial Management and Reporting, International Economics and Financial Negotiations at the International Institute of Public Administration Paris, and Assuring the Quality of World Bank Operations in Africa, World Bank Washington D.C.
He was a teacher at the St. Martins Secondary School, an Economics Officer at the Ministry of Finance Policy Analysis Division, a Senior Advisor to Ghana's Executive Director at the World Bank Group, Washington D.C., and Head of the World Bank Unit of the Ministry of Finance. He is currently the Director in charge of the External Resource Mobilization Division at the Ministry of Finance.
