Mr. Michael Ayesu is an Economist. He was educated in Ghana and the United Kingdom. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences (Economics & Sociology) and a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast.
Mr. Ayesu also studied at the University of Glasgow, UK where he graduated with a Diploma and M.Phil. in Monetary Economics. He participated in various courses and seminars such as Financial Management and Reporting, International Economic and Financial Negotiations at the International Institute of Public Administration Paris and Assuring the Quality of World Bank Operations in Africa, World Bank Washington D.C.
He was a teacher at the St. Martins Secondary School, an Economics Officer at the Ministry of Finance Policy Analysis Division, a Senior Advisor to Ghana Executive Director at the World Bank Group, Washington D.C. and Head of the World Bank Unit of the Ministry of Finance. He is currently the Director, External Resource Mobilization Division at the Ministry of Finance.
