Togbe Afede XIV is the Paramount Chief of the Asogli Traditional Area and President of the National House of Chiefs. He received his formal education in Ghana and the United States of America (USA). He received a BSc. Administration (Accounting) from the University of Ghana (School of Administration), Legon, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Yale University School of Management, New Haven, USA.
Among his key business accomplishments, Togbe Afede founded Africa World Airlines Ltd, Initiatives Strategiques Cote D'Ivoire, SAS Finance Group Ltd, Sunon Asogli Power Ghana Ltd, World Trade Centre Accra and co-founded the Databank (Ghana) Limited, among others. His key socio-economic development initiatives include the initiation of the Volta-Ningxia Sister Regions Relationship and the founding of the Volta Region Development Agency and the Asogli Education Fund.
He currently chairs the boards of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Ltd, Accra World Trade Centre Ltd, Africa Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership, Africa World Airlines Ltd, Cloud Africa Ghana Ltd, Ensign College of Public Health, Lighting and Construction Africa Company Ltd, National Investment Bank (Chairman), SAS Finance Group Ltd, Sunon Asogli Power (Ghana) Ltd. and the World Trade Centers Association, New York.
His new businnes initiatives include Gold Coast City Project, a project to develope the beachfront of Accra and Trans-Africa Telecom Limited, pursuing a common platform for mobile telecommunication in West Africa. Some of Togbe Afede XIV's awards include: The Magnate Award 2016, Recognition for Entrepreneurship and Employment Creation; Top 100 Ghana most influence people (ranked 17th) May 2015; Induction into the Ghana Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame, April 2015; Special Entrepreneurial Achievement, 2012 3rd Ghana Entrepreneur Awards 2012; Best Entrepreneur, Energy Sector 2010, World Entrepreneurial Day Awards, 2011; Chieftancy Leadership, 2010 Millennium Excellence Awards, Ghana; Order of the Volta, 2008 National Republic Day Awards; Planters of Seed Awards 2006, Ghana Top 100 Business Awards Ceremony and Personality of the year, and 2005 Millennium Excellence Awards Ghana.
He was the Chairman of the Economic Committee and the Head of the Ministry of Finance Management Team (Ghana Government Transition Team), January - April 2009, and a member of the President's Economic Advisory Council, 2009 - 2012.
